We visited Nat in the hospital this afternoon, around the same time that my brother, sister-in-law, and their boys were visiting.
My brother arrived with a bunch of flowers for me – gerberas, my favourite. My 3 year old nephew insisted they were roses!
Nat sent me home with a bag of dirty washing…
Today we went exploring so the boys could check out the Starlight Room in the hospital, this was after I’d picked Zac up from school. It’s a huge improvement on the tiny room they had on the old children’s ward.
They were pretty impressed with the array of computer games that were on offer. They straight away found a game and started playing. I think they would have stayed there all day if they’d been able to.
We were there towards the end of the day. Afterwards, we explored a bit more. There are areas on each floor with seats and a TV. We weren’t quite ready to head back to the ward so tried out the seats. Zac decided he wanted to give his brother a hug… Nat wasn’t all that receptive!
The new hospital is great, there’s a lot of stuff we can do so we’re not stuck on the ward all the time.
